Maggie

Hi! My name is Maggie Coles-Lyster and I am a 20 year old professional cyclist from BC, Canada. I have been racing my bike since I was 8 years old, and have tried all disciplines but excel at track and road. I race for Pickle Juice Pro Cycling on the road and track, and the Canadian National Team on the track and major international events.

As a junior cyclist, I represented Canada at 5 World Championships across cyclocross, track and road, am 3 time junior worlds medallist, including 2017 Junior Points Race World Champion, and most recently, 2019 2x silver medallist on the track at the Pan American Games in Lima, Peru.

When I'm not on the bike, I can be found studying my online pre-veterinary medicine courses, on the yoga mat training for my 200hr Red Door Yoga Teacher Training Certificate, riding my horse, Elmo, or speaking at events and empowering woman and athletes.

This blog follows my journeys as a racer, navigating sport as a female athlete, and, well, life in general!
